Greetings one and all my name is Richard Scott and I am BA Hons Journalism student at Staffordshire University. I am also the founder of The Non-league Scene.

I set up the Non-league scene in the Spring of 2013 looking to give a different slant on the world of non-league football as most blogs out their just cover the grounds I want to write about the goings on in Non-league football and how important it is too many people.

A Saturday afternoon sat in a stand at Old Trafford being made to feel like a customer is a lot worse the going to a bitterly cold stadium made feel welcome by warm hearted officials and being made to feel like a fan and an actual person.

For those who want to know what my background in Non-league football is well first and foremost I am a Chorley fc fan. I have been following the club for the best part of 10 years now and watched them through the thick and thin.

Also I have assisted the club on with their match day programme by writing copy for submission on each of their own games.

Away from Chorley I am a News and Sports reporter for Staffs Live mainly looking at Non-league football and when anything major happens in Non-league football around Staffordshire I am normally the man found writing it.

Also I am on the programme team of Hednesford Town fc of the Skrill North, whom I joined this season and write previews ahead of the next home game for the Pitmen. I also freelance for other programmes including Telford, Vauxhall Motors and Northwich Victoria.

In the summer of 2013 I did a 2 week placement at the Non-league paper based in Wimbledon. Here I was conducting interviews with managers and players as well as going to a couple of games to cover the games for the paper.
